Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way.
But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to.
But he’s also rude—to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does—until she finds herself alone with him in his room. Something about his dark mood grabs her, and when they kiss it ignites within her a passion she’s never known before.
He’ll call her beautiful, then insist he isn't the one for her and disappear again and again. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa is compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. He pushes her away again and again, yet every time she pushes back, he only pulls her in deeper.
Tessa already has the perfect boyfriend. So why is she trying so hard to overcome her own hurt pride and Hardin’s prejudice about nice girls like her?
Unless…could this be love?

Review
Hahahahaha...ha. This book's writing was such a piece of shit. This story was originally written on wattpad, and of course, if it's turned into an actual novel, you know that it will be pretty bad. The story follows a stereotypical good girl, with a stereotypical bad boy, in a stereotypical setting. The good girl, Tessa Young, is your cliche cover all skin, never cuss, sex after marriage type of girl. The bad boy, Hardin...wait a minute. Why the fuck, out of all names, would the author choose... Hardin...The name isn't even hot. Anyway, so Tessa's mom and her boyfriend, who by the way, looks like he came from a sweater vest type magazine, came with her to the college. Her mom, total bitch by the way, is very controlling, hoping Tessa won't become well....you know...a complete whoring bimbo. They get to her dorm, and she meets Steph, her roommate. Her roommate is...actually pretty cool. Of course, her appearance, tattoos, piercings, and a whole lot of smoking, Tessa's mom decides to push the stick up her ass even further and scolds Tessa to get a new room.
Of course, she doesn't and placates her mother that all will be alright.
Liar.
Anyway, Tessa meets Hardin, this bad boy tattooed asshole who obviously has no idea what emotions mean, and has a thing for sex. Obviously not a virgin, unlike our Mother Teresa here. So of course, there is just something soooo fascinating about Hardin, that Tessa just can't get him out of her head. So they begin to spend more time together...and they bond over books......they fuck.....they buy an apartment together.. Oh and by the way, Hardin has some mommy and daddy issues that he drinks away. Thats when Tessa begins to see his rough edges and anger management issues. They solve that, and they just end up fucking even more and their relationship just keeps building. Actually, I wouldn't describe it as even building up, its more like they bond over their fucking....and they just keep fucking. Literally. You might even find a sex scene in almost all chapters once you get halfway there.
Long story short, Tessa finds out that Hardin and his friends made a bet who could fuck her first. Hardin being the asshole he is, kept the sheets they fucked on when she lost and virginity as proof that they actually fucked. Jackass. Anyway, Tessa runs to her mom and her gap loving boyfriend, just to tell them that she was right all along and that she should have stuck with her below the knee skirts.
This book was actually really shit. Not only the plot but the writing. Honestly, I just thought Hardin was just bipolar with all the i love you shit and fuck off to hell conversations he had with Tessa. Tessa being the dumb bitch she is, she decides to still stay with him after all that. It was really annoying that the chapters was just there to just be chapters. Literally, the chapters were the same thing. Wake up, make out, she goes to work, comes back and fights with Hardin, and then they fuck. The same thing happens over and over again.
If you watched the movie, and yes, they made a movie, it was even worse. Whatever happened in the book, happened in the movie. Except for the fact that when Tessa finds out at the end about the bet, Hardin sent in this English assignment to their teacher about love and references to the books they both love. The English teacher gives the assignment to Tessa, and he was like oh I think this is for you.
She reads it and it's about love and commitment and mistakes and all that sappy bullshit. I can literally quote the end of the essay Hardin wrote.
"You asked me if I ever loved anyone. I do. Its you."First of all, can you imagine being the teacher and reading this, thinking it's about you? But really its about some girl he fucked probably like a thousand times.
Anyway, so I would definitely not recommend it. It is Mackenzie blog-worthy? Fuck no. But I'm doing it anyway for content.
But seriously, if your a masochist and loves to torture yourself, click the link above to be fucked over.
